Idol Review
With the exception of a couple people, I was not amused.
That is all!

And I do mean rain! I emptied our rain gauge here in front of our house cause IT WAS RUNNING OVER! That gauge holds five inches and let me tell you, I emptied it hours ago and there is no telling how much more has fallen. But, get this… I AM NOT COMPLAINING! I promised to never complain about rain again. Remember all that whining I did a couple of years ago? Oh, I know you do!!!
When we went out this afternoon to check our cattle, we were shocked to see the ones at our north pasture crossing the creek which was flowing very swiftly and deep enough to reach the top of the bull’s back. Not so much a problem for him or the cows, but those tiny calves were following right along and DISAPPEARING out of sight briefly and making my heart stop! Thankfully, all made it through to the other side in that bunch. Who knows what happened to some out south of town. Part of them were on one side of the creek at the hay rings with the others across the creek waiting out the storm. I’m hoping they stayed put and didn’t force their babies to cross the rising water for that creek is twice as deep and ferocious.
I have a video, but it is too large to share online, just trust me when I say it was a scary situation and keep your fingers crossed we find them all alive and on high ground tomorrow.
Well, I was correct about Kristy Lee Cook and David Hernandez being in the bottom three on Idol. My sincere apologies Ramiele, America chose Syesha Mercado to join Kristy and David. I have to admit I was shocked David was at the very bottom, I would have bet the farm Kristy would have been gone based on her song choice.
Dang people! You know what this means, don’t you? I can be wrong, but it doesn’t mean I have to like it!
I’ve admitted more than once to being addicted to American Idol. Although I did not watch the very first season, of all I’ve watched, this one is absolutely the best! I usually have a favorite by the time the top 12 are announced. This year; I have several!!!
I’m old enough to have owned the Beatles first records (and I hear Simon’s voice when typing that) when they came to the U. S., so tonight’s performances were mostly hits with me!
I’m thinking David Hernandez, Ramiele Malubay or Kristy Lee Cook are vulnerable tonight based on their song choices. These three people can sing and are more talented than some of the top finishers in other seasons, but you know what they say… “someone has to go home”! I can’t wait to see who it will be!
… from posting. I’ve enjoyed the heck out of this obsession, but I am going to try to wean myself from thinking I have to share a new image, photo or a bit of nonsense every day. If you see me back posting tomorrow, then the weaning just didn’t work!
Oh yes, I’m watching, but I hated to start talking about it cause I know I can’t shut up once I do!
I didn’t think all of tonight’s castoffs were the right choices, America, but seriously, it didn’t matter to me as I do not have a favorite yet. There are just too many talented people this year. I’ll reserve the right to decide that at a later date.
Are you watching?
… and I’ve got nothing to say or share. Oops, I do have something, I’m tired! I lost a night’s sleep Monday night because of Scooter Libby. She was spayed yesterday and was not supposed to have food or water the night before her surgery. I closed the door to the bedroom to prevent her drinking or eating and she drove me nuts scratching at the door wanting out. About the time I would doze off, she would start acting up again. I know you are thinking why I didn’t just take the food and water away for the night. It would have done no good cause Simon has taught her to drink out of the aquarium. I’m blaming feeling awful the last couple of days on the lost night of sleep and I can truthfully say I feel better tonight and I’m thankful to have Scooter fixed. We certainly do not need more kittens cause Muffin is already pregnant again! Yes, my friends and family, I failed to get her spayed before she came in heat again. Oh well, more photo opportunities are just around the corner and I will do my best to get her taken care of after this litter.
And who was that that said she had nothing to say?
The weather was perfect today after several days of cloudy and rainy. I finally walked this afternoon and I was very glad to be out in the wonderful sunshine!
I was looking through my hard drive tonight at pictures taken this time last year. We had come through the couple of years of drought and the pictures taken then were still stark! No early grasses coming up… nothing! What a difference a year has made! The cattle are already leaving the hay and grazing and that’s a very good thing! Nothing much there to fill them up, but they seem to be happy walking and looking.
I’m very ready for spring although this winter has not been bad at all. I hate to say that, for I might jinx us since February is far from over.
I’m about to call it a night, hope your day has been as good as mine!
… is still going on in this house for I am married to a political junkie! I’m heading back to watch something else. Hope your Tuesday was a good one!
You know, if I weren’t so very addicted to the televisions humming around here 24/7 I would turn the suckers off and never turn them on again until after this presidential election is over! I just can’t tell you how sick I am of this mess. For the first time since I was old enough to vote, I’m not impressed with any of the candidates on any side. I hope I can decide between now and ballot marking time whether or not I want to skip that part of the ballot or make a mark by someone’s name when my heart is not in it. What to do? I’ll think on it some more and hopefully have no doubts when the time comes. I’m truthfully not sure my vote counts, but at least I can gripe if I do indeed vote!
