As if I didn’t have enough sites I think I have to visit and read daily, I added another one! Our small school is no longer in existence because of consolidation, but many of us wanted to have a common place to interact and keep in touch. Enter…. FACEBOOK! Over the weekend we got a group started and things are progressing and slowly the word is gettng out. I’m spending most of my online times these days with my personal page there and now this group. It has been enjoyable keeping up with family and friends, reconnecting with long ago friends and former classmates, so I’d deem this new obsession a good one!
Survivor was so good last night! I think this might be my favorite season and it was only the first show of this season’s heroes vs. villains! And now I’ve got the Olympics opening ceremony on. Fantastic special effects so far!! Sarah McLachlan is singing now. She has the most incredibly touching and soothing voice.
Nothing else going on this evening, so I’m already back to hunting for things to post. Not a good sign at all!
Why, oh why do I get involved in these reality shows? I’m just a junkie, I guess… can’t quit them! “The Bachelor” is driving me nuts this time though. Jake is either really sincere and the nicest human being on earth or he is an excellent actor! Somebody find me a 12-step program to quit these shows… I’m beggin’ ya!
… I’m a month or so behind again. I have thought long and hard about closing this blog and my site down. I’ve given it a lot of thought actually and I just can’t bring myself to lose all the years and time I’ve spent creating and rambling about. So, I’ve spent a little time last night and today changing the blog’s look and a little of the web site. The old content is still in place and I’m going to make an effort to create again whether with new graphics, sharing photos or just a bit of silliness again.
To start off on a good note and hopefully a continued trend, here’s a thought for tonight…. “who dat”? The Saints might just win this thing!!
Well, most of my camera time these days has been looking through the viewfinder at a couple of adorable babies. Since they are not mine, I don’t share them here unless it is a password protected post. That’s no fun at all, so I do have a few new pictures I’ve posted to my photoblog. Let me clarify that, I have one tonight and more will automatically upload over the next few days.
Are you loving this weather? Oh my goodness! It was just perfect today for the Davy Crockett Days in H. G.! Lots of crafts, jewelry, antique cars and tractors, food and fun for the kids. I’m glad I went!
The audition for the show “X Factor” in Britain by Danyl Johnson is infectious! He is a teacher, loves music and was encouraged to audition for the show by his students. Joe Cocker’s “With a Little Help from my Friends” has long been a favorite of mine and Danyl’s joy in singing the song simply makes me smile… again and again and again!
Embedding the video has been disabled, so you will have to click either of the links I’ve included to watch the videos on You Tube’s site. This first link has the young man’s story and performance. The second link is a better video of the song and judge’s reactions only.
I’m thinking his music career has just begun whether he wins “X Factor” or not. That show is equivalent to “American Idol” here in the States and you all know what an Idol junkie I am!
I had a good day with the little ones. I was happy to see Baby Girl and I do believe she was glad to see me too. Baby Boy was a little cranky today, but after all it was the first day without his Mom. He just needs to get used to me and me to him. I actually made it better than I thought I would, so I think this venture will be a lot of fun and I know it is good for my spirits.
Another new picture on the photoblog! Check it out!
I created five photo posts last night for my photoblog and mentioned I had them set to automatically upload over the next few nights. It worked and I’m happy about that! You can check out the latest picture there.
In other news, I start back keeping my babies tomorrow. Tonight I’m excited cause I have truly missed the Baby Girl while their Mom was on maternity leave. I’m sure by the end of this week I will be as attached to her little brother. For the record, so I can look back someday and know, Baby Girl is 14 and 1/2 months old and Baby Boy is 2 months and 8 days old. Fun and joyous and yes, no doubt hectic times are ahead for me and I can’t wait!
And to my Aunt Mary, thanks for telling me how good poke sallet can be and for commenting. Love you!
Busy week, busy day, busy, busy, busy! I’m ready for some rest and relaxation. Where oh where might one find that? Any clues, y’all?
He was scheduled to be delivered by c-section Thursday… guess he had other plans. His Momma started contracting last night and off they went to the hospital. Baby Brother arrived around noon today and his Big Sister giggled every time she got to touch his head. He is a pretty baby and I’m happy the wait for him is over. Both Momma and baby boy are fine tonight. Their Daddy called a little while ago asking if I would keep big sister tomorrow and of course, I said yes. I don’t know if I will keep her again after that until the Mom returns to work in mid-August or early September and then I’ll have both of them. Fun times ahead people! I’ll add a picture of the sweet boy in a password protected post.
