…. and what can I say?
Oh, I can say I’m proud summer has arrived, just love hot weather.
I will say I am happy we will soon get to meet another new baby. In fact, this coming Thursday unless he decides to come sooner. The baby I’m keeping has a brother coming and yes, they will only be a year apart. I’m thinking it will be lots of fun and plenty of work too, but oh so rewarding for their family and me!
I’ll tell you I finally got the flower bug and have filled my empty pots. It was hard to get excited about playing in the rain to plant them and the reason I am late getting them started.
Oh, let’s see, what else? OH! Super excited that my Dad’s nephew and family have organized a family reunion. The first in many years and I can’t wait for that!
I don’t have anything else to say on this last day of May. How about you?
The challenge for week 341 are the hands of the clock. I made everything in this image with Corel’s Paint Shop Pro version X and a few plugins. I think I would like a kitchen decorated in this style. Maybe someday, but by then, I’m sure stainless would be as out of style as my old kitchen is now. Oh well, a gal can dream, can’t she?
I’m still behind in sharing my Plus PSP creations. And on top of that, I’m behind in playing there as well. Maybe I will get another creative streak soon. In the meantime, I like what I did with Challenge 340. The shape is the mailbox with the cat’s tail visible in one and the tomahawk looking thing on the Native American inspired… um… thing? I’m not sure what this would be.
Thirty-three years ago, Ed and I married on this date and it has always been a day of celebration until my brother’s death 10 years ago today changed that. And would you believe Ed’s Mom passed away due to complications from congestive heart failure today as well? Graveside services tomorrow with visitation at the cemetery. We’re thinking we should just skip this date from now on.
I came to the realization this morning that Kris could indeed walk away with the American Idol win when I thought about Danny’s fans and who they would more likely vote for. You know though, I really wasn’t positive, but I am very happy he won. He’s humble and super talented both as a singer and musician. The thing is, Adam is the showman and like the season where Reuben won and Clay came in second, it is quite possible Adam will have the bigger career. Time will tell.
I knew we had received buckets and buckets of rain, but had no idea until talking with my sister-in-law yesterday that she and Ed’s brother had recorded over 24 inches of rain the last two months. Our average rainfall for a year in this area is around 45 inches give or take a few. No wonder the pools are full and even overflowing, that’s a LOT of rain, but remember, I’m not complaining!
