Challenge 279 again
Muscovy Duck
I keep meeting critters in the road. This time a pair of Muscovy Ducks came waddling out to the road where I had stopped to take pictures of Longhorn cattle. The cattle pictures weren’t so good, but this one of the duck was priceless. He (or she) turned his head to take a better look at me and evidently decided I meant him no harm and headed right on by and into the pasture where the cattle were grazing and eating hay. You just never know what you are going to encounter on the back roads in the boonies!
Super Tuesday….
… is still going on in this house for I am married to a political junkie! I’m heading back to watch something else. Hope your Tuesday was a good one!
Sick of Politics
You know, if I weren’t so very addicted to the televisions humming around here 24/7 I would turn the suckers off and never turn them on again until after this presidential election is over! I just can’t tell you how sick I am of this mess. For the first time since I was old enough to vote, I’m not impressed with any of the candidates on any side. I hope I can decide between now and ballot marking time whether or not I want to skip that part of the ballot or make a mark by someone’s name when my heart is not in it. What to do? I’ll think on it some more and hopefully have no doubts when the time comes. I’m truthfully not sure my vote counts, but at least I can gripe if I do indeed vote!
More Stained Glass Fun
Another free pattern from Spectrum Glass and their beautiful glass. The inner circle fish is their pattern, I added the outer parts to make it square. I could become addicted to this again. A long time ago when I was first learning how to create computer graphics, I was intrigued by these stained glass images. I had forgotten how pretty and how relaxing it was to sit and play with their ideas until a couple of nights ago.
We actually save the photos of their glass samples and use them in our graphic programs as a pattern fill. I know, that doesn’t make sense to you if you’ve never played with graphic software. Just trust me, it is easy and fun to do!
I’m Done With Challenge 278
I would definitely say these long winter nights give me entirely too much time on my hands. Thank goodness the creative juices are flowing or I would be bored silly at night.
The challenge is in the rosebuds in this stained glass piece. The pattern for the hearts and the stained glass came from Spectrum Glass. They long ago gave us permission to use their resources in our graphic images. I did add the leaves, stem and thorns to the challenge buds.
And of course I just had to create a piece of jewelry!
Got Nothing…
….except an injured foot! And it’s not that bad, just annoying. I think I’ve got tendinitis and I’m taking care of it.
Have a great weekend!
