American Idol
Oh yes, I’m watching, but I hated to start talking about it cause I know I can’t shut up once I do!
I didn’t think all of tonight’s castoffs were the right choices, America, but seriously, it didn’t matter to me as I do not have a favorite yet. There are just too many talented people this year. I’ll reserve the right to decide that at a later date.
Are you watching?
Wednesday…
… and I’ve got nothing to say or share. Oops, I do have something, I’m tired! I lost a night’s sleep Monday night because of Scooter Libby. She was spayed yesterday and was not supposed to have food or water the night before her surgery. I closed the door to the bedroom to prevent her drinking or eating and she drove me nuts scratching at the door wanting out. About the time I would doze off, she would start acting up again. I know you are thinking why I didn’t just take the food and water away for the night. It would have done no good cause Simon has taught her to drink out of the aquarium. I’m blaming feeling awful the last couple of days on the lost night of sleep and I can truthfully say I feel better tonight and I’m thankful to have Scooter fixed. We certainly do not need more kittens cause Muffin is already pregnant again! Yes, my friends and family, I failed to get her spayed before she came in heat again. Oh well, more photo opportunities are just around the corner and I will do my best to get her taken care of after this litter.
And who was that that said she had nothing to say?
Peacock
More pictures from a couple of days ago. I would very much enjoy getting a photo with all that glorious plumage displayed. So far, all I’ve managed is this head shot and the two below of him escaping from my camera’s viewfinder.

Longhorn
Just around a curve from where the turtles were sunning, I finally got a halfway decent picture of this young Longhorn cow. She’s sporting a quite handsome set of horns, but nothing compared to what they could become. This breed of cattle are not a favorite of mine cause horns are dangerous although I admire the fact they are a part of our Texas history.
Sunning
I made a photo seeking round through the country yesterday and found a few things to share. This one is my favorite of the day. I actually sailed right on by this soon to be mosquito infested water. When my brain re-evaluated what I had actually seen, I threw the brakes on, slapped the vehicle in reverse and started shooting pictures before they slid back into the water to hide from the crazy lady. The sun must have felt especially nice to these turtles after the long, cold winter months and let me tell you, they weren’t alone.

A week ago today, Ed purchased a new computer with Windows Vista as the operating system. It’s pretty darn cool if I do so say myself and myself really hasn’t gotten to play around with it all that much. What I’ve seen though, I liked! He finally said after the third day of using it he was getting used to it and liking it also.
I ran across this site tonight and it certainly looks to be helpful for figuring out where things have moved from XP, or just learning how to do tasks you’ve never done before. I had said I wouldn’t want to change to Vista until the bugs are all worked out. Looks like Micro$oft is well on the way to having most of them squashed. Now I won’t be fretting as much if my computer starts misbehaving.
Do you remember what it was like to not be so reliant on your computer? I don’t and I’m not sure if that’s good or bad.
