Challenge 275
AmirA says: “I want you to use this as many times as you can in an image. Must be visible. Rest of the rules stays the same.”
The oil lamp is new creation of mine, the flame is from Corel, the shelves are mine from a previous image and have been modified a bit. The horse and buggy are from a recent challenge. Photos are mine of my friend’s mini-horse and her colt. The challenge is obviously on the corners of Corel’s frame, but it has also been duplicated, distorted a bit and used as a support for the shelves.
Pouting Pooch
Banjo looked as if he were pouting this afternoon. I was busily snapping photos of the neighbor’s horses when I turned around and found him in this position. This is the dog that showed up last February and wouldn’t let us touch him. He’s some better, but nothing to brag about. He will let us pet him if he’s cornered and has no choice. He obviously was not well treated at his last home, but he has no worries here and I hope someday he totally trusts us.
Handsome Guy
The wind has been fierce the last couple of days. When I saw this bad boy strutting his stuff yesterday, the wind was at his back and the reason his tail feathers are blowing up and towards his head. He’s rather proud of himself and didn’t mind showing off and allowing me to take his picture. I got several good photos and had a hard time deciding which one was the best.
Rearranged the Bulletin Boards
Had you noticed? Here on the blog and on the old, dusty website. It was fun, but crazy trying to determine what I wanted to do. Both sites could seriously use total makeovers… you know, new color schemes, better layout, etc., but good golly people! There’s just too much work involved and I haven’t kept up with the latest design and coding techniques. I could change the layout of the blog easily with someone else’s template, but I’m even too lazy for that. So, for the meantime (could be eons), you’ll just have to stick with me and enjoy the pepto bismolish color schemes and trust me, I sincerely thank you!
First Calf of 2008 and her Mean ol’ Mama
This is a good mama. This is not a nice mama if she thinks you are endangering her calf. She will run you down and hurt you! But, give her a month or two, the new wears off her baby and she’s back to just being Bossy. Strange how some of the cows could care less and some want you dead. It doesn’t take long for us to determine which ones to trust and I promise you we never forget those that lean towards maiming us for life! Just ask Ed, this gal knocked him around more than once one winter when all he wanted to do was get her calf to shelter on a bitterly cold day. He’s never forgotten it, matter-of-fact that’s the very day she earned her name.
Challenge 274
Mzbet says: “I took this photo is at the Polynesian Culture Center in Hawaii. Take this picture and do what you like with it…make into a cartoon, add things to it, cut it up, use as a backdrop, etc. Only one limitation…please leave at least a little something recognizable. It’s up you what what that piece might be. Have fun!.”
Decorations are stored…. finally!
I spent a few days decorating, but today got everything packed away and stored for another year. The few days decorating was a breeze. The packing away in one day? Not so much! At least it is done and I can quit dreading it. Now if I can get my butt in gear and get the laundry caught up. I am world champion material when it comes to procrastinating!
