I’ve been reading Ree’s blog since running across the link on a cattle forum I sometimes frequent. She’s funny, she’s talented, the gal takes awesome photos and on top of that, she cooks which leads me back to the title of this post. Before Thanksgiving, she posted a sweet potato recipe and I thought it sounded like something we would enjoy. It’s just almost too simple considering how delicious it is and I was so very right; we loved it!
The ingredients are: Sweet Potatoes, Milk, Sugar, Vanilla, Eggs, Salt, Butter, Pecans, Flour, and Brown Sugar. Nothing fancy, nothing you won’t have on hand other than the taters.
Ree normally posts her recipes on her sister site, The Pioneer Woman Cooks, but this particular recipe was posted on Serious Eats. Head on over there for pictures and the directions to cook this sweet dish. You won’t be sorry, I wasn’t at Thanksgiving and I’m making them again for our Christmas dinner.
