Cattle Drama
Need I say more? I think no. I bore myself with this stuff, no need to bore you too. The drama does make me too tired to think and no time to decide what I want to share today, so this be it!

Oh, I know, you’re not supposed to pick favorites. After all, the other cattle will be very jealous to know I have a favorite.
I learned a long time ago not to get attached or to name the girls. Naming them leads to loving them and in this business there comes a point where each and every one needs to leave the premises for good. Getting attached means becoming sentimental and being sentimental means it’s very hard to let them go. Unfortunately, I couldn’t help myself this time around, she’s special and she knows it, just look at that pose!
You see, back in January of 1998, this cow’s mama decided it was time to deliver and just for kicks, she would need assistance and it might as well be just as the Super Bowl was about to start. The husband missed most of the game cause we were helping this gal make her grand entrance into the world. She has rewarded us though by becoming a pet. Our only cow that actually enjoys having her head rubbed. Or perhaps she’s the only one we ever tried to tame enough to allow the extra attention.
And her name? Why, Superbowl of course!
I announced in an earlier post that the hubby has a blog. Right now it is a photo blog, we shall see if he finds something to say!
It is still being tweaked, but here are the links… go check it out!
I managed to make another image from last week’s challenge idea. I do like it and at the time I was creating it, there’s no way I could have told you what it represented. It was a late, relaxing night of playing with filters and pushing buttons. Tonight, I’ve named it “Cathedral”.
I’m serious! I’m standing there composing this photo. If you can’t see me here, click on the photo which takes you to my Flickr Album, choose all sizes and then view the large version where you can see my reflection in the cow’s eye. Kinda cool, ain’t it?
Do we have great lives or what? Seriously, you’re jealous, aren’t you? Admit it, you had no idea how exciting our lives are and would give anything to trade, right?
While Reed Timmer was videotaping this tornado in Ellis County, Oklahoma, the town of Greensburg, Kansas was being devastated by another deadly twister.
My thoughts and prayers go out to those affected.
People that do not have cattle would never understand they too have feelings. They show tenderness and are fierce protectors of their offspring. And the offspring? Just like little children, every now and then a kiss from Mom does a body good!
Just cause I like to say this and it is the whole truth and nothing but the truth… “They are not dumb!”
