Favorite Bovine
Oh, I know, you’re not supposed to pick favorites. After all, the other cattle will be very jealous to know I have a favorite.
I learned a long time ago not to get attached or to name the girls. Naming them leads to loving them and in this business there comes a point where each and every one needs to leave the premises for good. Getting attached means becoming sentimental and being sentimental means it’s very hard to let them go. Unfortunately, I couldn’t help myself this time around, she’s special and she knows it, just look at that pose!
You see, back in January of 1998, this cow’s mama decided it was time to deliver and just for kicks, she would need assistance and it might as well be just as the Super Bowl was about to start. The husband missed most of the game cause we were helping this gal make her grand entrance into the world. She has rewarded us though by becoming a pet. Our only cow that actually enjoys having her head rubbed. Or perhaps she’s the only one we ever tried to tame enough to allow the extra attention.
And her name? Why, Superbowl of course!
