Traveling Snake
I keep meeting these traveling critters on the roads. Fortunately, I have enough sense to keep my distance from some of them. Although the first photo looks as if I’m close enough to touch, it’s really just my telephoto lens giving that illusion. I love that sucker… not the deadly copperhead snake for heaven’s sake, the lens!
UGH, that I could live without. I hope you killed it. It is a beautiful, colorful creature, but deadly. All snakes are deadly as far as I am conserned.

No, I don’t kill them. I was in his territory, way out in the country and he wasn’t doing anything but crossing the road. When we see them here at the house, we relocate them to the boonies if we can. I used to be the same way, the only good snake was a dead snake. Somewhere along the way, I developed this tender heart for all God’s creatures.
