Anybody like mud ball fights?

I don’t… nor do I like driving in it, walking in it or feeding in it. I knew it wouldn’t take long for me to find something else to complain about! More rain and possibly freezing rain is predicted for the next few days. Oh well, I whined about the drought long enough, no doubt by the looks of things, I can whine about mud for just as long!

In other news… well, I just don’t have any other news, no pictures to share and the graphics I’ve created are just so-so. I’ve wanted to get out all week with my camera, but it has been too cloudy and gloomy. So, to keep from totally depressing you too… I’ll post this muddy update and call it a night! :)

Ice, ice, Baby! :)

We were out and about today taking care of critters. The husband snapped most of these with his new camera. Nothing compared to what our northern friends have to endure, but still slick and oh so cold! View the slide show.

Do you believe in magic?

A manipulated photo of mine and an overactive imagination…

Two favorite guys…

from a very long time ago! My hubby and the kid that lived with his younger sister and grandmother on the street behind us. We were crazy about both of them and enjoyed helping their Gran-Gran with them in many ways; school functions, Boy Scouts, hunting and fishing trips, baseball games, birthday parties and more. Not having any children of our own, those two kids were very special to us and still are today.

The husband was digging around in his desk drawer and ran across this Polaroid. I had to take a picture of the picture as my scanner is on the blink.

Ah… the good ol’ days!

The little boy is now a grown man with a family of 4 children and a lovely wife. They own a successful business and we’re very proud of him. He’s overcome many obstacles in becoming the man he is today.

His sister has also been successful as an educator and coach. We don’t see or hear from her as often, but we’re just as proud of her accomplishments.

I’m thinking we should dig a little deeper in those drawers. Nostalgia is a fine place to visit! Heart 2

The water saga has a happy ending… at least I hope it’s the end!

During my moans…..

And now… drumroll please!

No reason to groan!

All of our pools are full and it is a wonderful sight to see. Hopefully, this drought has broken and I can find something else to complain about! I know you’re looking forward to that! In the meantime….
