Momma is feeling fair today. Her face is swollen and she did not sleep last night due to pain. She decided she better get the prescription her doctor prescribed for pain after all. She normally cannot take hydrocodone as it makes her sick, even taken with food. But, so far today, it has not done that as it has in the past and her pain is finally under control. I’m hoping tomorrow will be an even better day since she is finally resting with the pain meds.

I added a water reflection to my sunset photo I recently shared. I like it much better and I’m happy I thought to do that. There are plugin filters you can add to your graphics program of choice to do all sorts of amazing things like this.
So I had this dinosaur for a monitor for approximately the last eight years! Yes, I said 8! It was heavy, square and had the huge back that takes up so much room on your desk, but I kept it, cause you know, it was working!
In fact, it kept on going and going while I had to replace a couple of PC’s…until..this past Saturday evening.
Nothing, and I mean nothing I did made any difference, that sucker was gone…may it rest in peace.
What to do?
I quickly grabbed my iPad, looked up Walmart to see what is carried in stock on the shelves and read the reviews.
It didn’t take me long to head to town and purchase the Acer 23″ wide model.
Now let me tell you going from that old HP dinosaur to this beautiful wide screen has been a treat! I have much more real estate to view web pages and Facebook, not to mention the games I play on my PC and online. But, the biggest treat so far is viewing and editing my photos in Lightroom or creating graphics in Paint Shop Pro. I was very limited, although I didn’t know it cause it is what I was used to, in viewing space. Now I can see all the available editing tools and STILL have a wonderful view of whatever I am working on.
This Acer might not be the best on the market for what I do, but I guarantee it is much better than what I had been working with!
Goodbye, old dinosaur, you will not be missed.
Hello lovely wide screen viewing area! May you last as long to earn the title of dinosaur!
The iPad updated overnight and I finally got my iPhone updated this evening.
I’m not sold on the different look just yet, but I do like some of the new features.
Great tips on The Verge!
I’ve tried for several hours now to update to the latest operating system for my phone. I give up tonight!
Maybe tomorrow it will be less congested with traffic trying to do the same.
I’ve heard from others that were successful that they like it.
Maybe it won’t be as frustrating tomorrow!
OH yes, I did!
I will be presenting a mini-workshop at our upcoming Photo Exhibit and have been asked to cover iPhone Photography. I have chosen to highlight my favorite HDR app, TrueHDR, and my favorite editing app, Snapseed.
I created a Powerpoint Slideshow and have now downloaded, installed and tested SlideShark which is yet another amazing app.
And how did I impress myself? By actually creating the powerpoint slideshow, uploading, downloading and broadcasting the presentation and easily understanding what I was supposed to do with my iPad, iPhone and a webpage. You have the ability to use your iPhone as a remote control…and I did!
Have I ever told you I love living in this technological age?
I thought I had!
Now keep your fingers crossed I can do it again on August 3 and not bore the attendees!
