…and it might be the earliest ever! I am also loving this free theme I ran across to use tonight. Of course I had to customize a “splash” page of sorts. Go check it out and don’t shoot me for getting ahead of Thanksgiving!
I am watching and listening to the Texas Rangers in the first game of the World Series. No, you might say, you are online, as usual, and you would be right! I’m playing while they are playing to keep from losing my mind. Great game so far!
I love this time of year and get this, I had to bring my plants in this evening and the heat is on. I’ve never had to do that this early in the fall as it is normally closer to Thanksgiving. We have a frost warning for tonight, but predicted warming up again by the weekend. Crazy, dang Texas weather!
Oh, and go Rangers!
Today has been very productive on the web front. I not only moved content from the old donnaboykin.com web site to the blog, I forever closed parts of the old site. It was high time too! Some of the content there had been around since 1999. I’m serious! Old web page sets that have long seen better days as well as a few Paint Shop Pro freebies that were very outdated as well. I did keep my older PSP Art Galleries as I’m fond of many of those images and the the work it took to display them. The Paint Shop Pro tutorials are few and some are old, but I kept them around too. Kicking out the old and welcoming WordPress as not only my blog, but an easy way to manage content has made for a great vacation day!
Yeah, that one… right over there to your right. I have been playing with that off and on all this day. I think I have it to my liking now. Plenty of navigational links, places to visit of people I care about, a little fun, a few photos and you know… some of that random stuff I love so well! I’m having a blast playing and that’s a good thing.
The technology bug has bit the husband too! He is also learning to post to Facebook, Flickr and his PhotoBlog from his smart phone. Check out the friend he found today. The snake was stretched across the road and wouldn’t move. Maybe the 111° heat index zapped its energy as well! Ed eventually moved it out of the road. I’m so proud of him for that for there was a time when he would have killed it without thinking twice about it. I just don’t see the need for that.
