Each year of their births, I have helped their Mom create their birthday invitations. This year with the Duck Dynasty craze, both little ones decided they wanted to do a camo/redneck theme and it is going to be very cute!
I took their photos for the birthday invitation in this location I recently shared on Instagram. They really turned out cute and I can’t wait to see what their parents have in store for their guests at the big celebration. I know they have rented a bounce house and a water slide, no telling what else they have planned for everyone. The invitation asks that everyone wear camo and join in on the fun.
They are about to be four and five years of age. I have no idea where this time has flown, but I’m still grateful for every minute I’ve gotten to spend with them. They really are a blessing to me.

Watching the American Idol final performances of Kree and Candice. It’s been good so far!
Fifty-five years ago my momma and daddy became parents for the first time. I’m sure they were excited when their dark-haired little bundle of joy arrived in the middle of that hot summer in 1957.
Oh my, oh my where has the time flown?
I am that first child of theirs and I’m happy God chose them to be my parents!
Happy Friday the thirteenth birthday to me…it’s been a great one with dozens of birthday wishes on Facebook, phone calls, cards, presents, a cake and the little kids singing to me. I couldn’t ask for more.
…and here’s his, um… cake I slaved over all day? Not!
He loves the cherry or apple fritters from the bakery at Walmart. We happen to know one of the girls that works there. I told her it was his birthday, she said let me have the fritters and I’ll write on them. She did more than that, she decorated them with fishing lures, not real ones, but still cute. He got a kick out of them, I did too.
Yesterday, this adorable boy turned two. I cannot imagine my life without him in it. I love him beyond words.
I never dreamed when this sweet girl was born I would have the opportunity to love her like I do. Happy Birthday, my little friend!
