I had no idea, did you?

I jump in my truck several times a week and just hit the gravel roads with my camera in my lap, turned on and ready! I’m never disappointed, something always catches my eye.
I first stopped to admire the vetch growing up and through the fence.

Then I traveled just a little way to stop and admire the butterflies and bees flitting around the wild roses and other blooms.

The verbena growing wildly on the side of the road with the cattle in the background just begged for my attention!

Not far from the purple beauties I spotted a calf on the wrong side of the fence. All was well though as mama was guarding him on the same side of the road and on the opposite side, a beautiful donkey stood guard. The calf will eventually crawl back through, they always do.

This ended up being a short journey as the light was fading quickly, but I did capture more beautiful blanket flowers before finally capturing the fading sun’s reflection in the water.
I did take a few more shots with my iPhone and the TrueHDR app I’m so fond of, they are further below.

The hayfield, water reflections and the fence below were taken with the TrueHDR app.

It was a fabulous evening!
And I helped them celebrate by following the instructions to use the numbers in the image. As you know, I’ve had owls on my brain lately.

May Photo a Day “bird”
Taken with my Nikon, edited with PSPPX3 and uploaded through Instagram with their “rise” and border preset.

I had fun today, but didn’t document it. However, I did download a new fun app called PowerSketch. Not the best photo to play with, but the effect is really good!
