Everything is good tonight as I type. We have hired a young man to remove the tree and all the limbs from our front yard and he will start that in the morning. We are considering having him take care of the whole yard. Ed will decide in the morning how he is feeling about that, meaning, if he thinks he is up to doing to the back himself.
We still have friends without electricity tonight and some only got theirs restored today. Our county has been declared a disaster area from all the tree damage. I know some will need some assistance repairing roofs and cleaning up their yards. I’m sure there have been many damaged vehicles and no telling what else. I hope I never live to see or hear those limbs and trees breaking and crashing again. It felt as if we were under siege and there was no end in sight last Thursday night and early Friday morning. Needless to say, we were under siege, we awoke to what looked like a war zone.
In other news, we had our monthly photo club meeting and Carol and I took a few photos of the Christmas lights and decor in a few store windows after we left the library. It felt good to return to a bit of normalcy tonight.
