My bud, Marvin Ann, came out this evening and we rode around on the Mule looking for photo opportunities. As we cut across a friend’s field, she spotted the Scissor-tailed Flycatcher hovering and hunting. It landed on top of a post and we watched and waited and were rewarded with more than one opportunity to capture pictures. Once it came so close to us we couldn’t get focused with our big lenses.
What a treat that was!
And having my friend come out!
We found a few more things, but I only edited these tonight. And believe me, some of them are highly edited.
Come again soon, MAP, I enjoyed our visit and fun finds!
This sequence of shots is from only one of the times it was hovering and hunting. I missed the others.
