It’s A Process

July 23rd, 2012

And one I love!

My original photo (greatly resized to show here) taken at one of the fourth of July fireworks shows.

My workflow involved editing the RAW file in Adobe Lightroom and then opening in Paint Shop Pro X3, cropping it square to get rid of the people and really, it was not a great photo to begin with and normally I would have trashed it.  However, I was shooting towards the tractor, tent and the people cause I was looking for all things ”red”.

I liked my crop and the vignette I added with a plugin called Topaz Adjust, but after playing even more with Adjust, I got this highly edited HDR look and I. Liked. It!  I liked it a lot! I appreciated the way the details are enhanced, something I am usually not a fan of, but this worked for me.

I actually shared this final edit with my photo club members as one of my photos for our “red, white and/or blue” theme last month, they liked it a lot too!
