Owl Report

April 25th, 2012

He’s moved higher in the tree to a dead limb.  I suppose hidden among the dense foliage was becoming too warm.  From one side, he was open to viewing and was peeking back over his shoulder, so to speak.  From the other side, it appears he was still hidden among the leaves.

I am anxiously watching and waiting for any signs of the chicks.  I have no idea the time frame as we’re not sure when they started nesting, but from what I’ve read, the chicks will climb out of the tree cavity and stay perched in the trees while the parents continue to feed them until they take flight.

Keep your fingers crossed we get to see them!

In the meantime, I’ll keep enjoying seeing him!
