Happiness is where we find it, but rarely where we seek it.
J. Petit SennThere are two things to aim at in life; first to get what you want, and after that to enjoy it. Only the wisest of mankind has achieved the second.

For most of my life, I’ve been waiting; waiting on happiness, waiting on something… to be of age, to be in love, to be married, to have children, to obtain a job I very much wanted and more. While some of my goals were attained, some were not. It took many years of self-growth to learn to live in the moment, to stop waiting, to just… be. I find myself in a good place, as all of us have so often heard, ‘things happen for a reason’.
In 2008, I was asked to keep a child of a young man I had kept when he was a little guy. I never intended to be a childcare provider again, but that opportunity has led to much joy in my life and I will forever be grateful for not obtaining that position I wanted. Had I been employed, I would never have known this newfound happiness in loving on two (yes, now there are two) little ones in my life. I am no longer waiting, I am blessed and the best part is I know it!
